Edward Schloesslin

President & CEO

Edward Schloesslin is our President & CEO. He was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and is a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1986 with degrees in Psychology and Economics. As a senior professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and a Certified Executive Coach (CEC), he operates out of Atlanta and Kansas City and has clients throughout the U.S. and London.

 

Ed founded Human Capital Advisory Services in 2022 after a long and successful career in HR including the position of CHRO for three companies. His formative years happened in several well-known “HR Academy-style” companies such as Sears, Home Depot, and Payless ShoeSource. Over a 20-year period, Ed trained under some of the most respected CHROs in America and in later years, he held the top HR position at Payless Shoe Source, Lockton Insurance, and Floor and Décor Holdings.

 

After a year of retirement (2021), Ed realized he missed a few key business elements: the stimulation of solving complex business challenges, helping leaders make their business and culture better through people, and the camaraderie of working with teams and developing people. After completing coursework in operating a small business, and earning his Executive Coaching Certification, he founded Human Capital Advisory Services.

Shannon Swift

Director of Organizational Effectiveness

Shannon Swift is our Director of Organizational Effectiveness. She is a talent development professional with 30 years of experience designing and delivering employee learning programs, administering and interpreting assessments for developing leaders, and coaching managers and executives, plus, all of the accompanying communication and technology necessary to support learning.

 

With more than 10,000+ hours of in-person and virtual facilitation, Shannon delivers best-in-class front-line and high-potential leadership programs, communications and interpersonal skills training, customer service training, and train-the-trainer facilitation. She brings a humble spirit of collaboration and respect for the context of the business to her clients as she designs unique interventions to improve business profitability and organizational culture.

Jim Facinelli

V.P.  of Organizational Development

Jim is our V.P. of Organizational Development. His passion and purpose are helping organizations optimize the performance of their people by defining, designing and implementing world-class Talent Development solutions. He has spent his entire career improving Human Performance for Fortune 500 & privately owned organizations in various industries including Engineering, Insurance, Retail, and Telecommunications.

Jim’s area of expertise includes Talent Development Strategy, Facilitation (Virtual & In-Person), eLearning solutions, Learning Management Systems, Learning Experience Design, Change Management, Leadership Development, Assessment & Selection, Succession Management, Lean Six Sigma (Blackbelt) Process Improvement.

 

Jim has a Master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Tulsa and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Communications from the University of Wyoming. Jim also has a Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma and holds several certifications from DDI (Success Profile), Cornerstone (Learning Administration), FranklinCovey (Speed of Trust, 7 Habits, 4DX), Crucial Learning (Crucial Conversations, Influencer) and EQ-i 2.0. Jim is based in Kansas City.

 

Fun Fact: Jim grew up on a horse ranch in Cody, Wyoming and has ridden a bull in a rodeo! Jim also got to attend Super Bowl 54 to watch the Kansas City Chiefs win in 2020!

Joel Fox

V.P. HR Operations

Joel is our Vice President of HR Operations.  With over 20 years of dedicated experience in Human Resources and Talent Development, Joel is a seasoned HR professional known for his strategic acumen and practical approach to problem-solving.  Joel has been instrumental in stabilizing HR functions and initiating process improvements to enhance efficiency. His innovative strategies have streamlined hiring processes, reduced paperwork, and fostered a culture-focused approach to talent management.

 

His broad understanding of business functions and strategic focus has consistently driven improvements in HR processes and employee relations across multiple sectors.

 

Joel holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, a Certificate in Human Resource Management from the University of Georgia, and is a Certified Executive Coach.  

Joel combines academic expertise with extensive practical experience to deliver impactful HR solutions and support organizational growth.

Kelly Middleton

Business Analyst

Kelly is our Business Analyst. She is a highly skilled and accomplished professional with a background as a United States Air Force veteran, bringing four years of dedicated military service to the table. With a proven track record of providing excellent project and account management leadership and technical support to military and civilian personnel, Kelly is well-equipped to handle complex challenges and deliver exceptional results.

With extensive experience and knowledge in identifying customer needs, Kelly excels in planning, directing, leading, and providing technical support to clients nationally.

Kelly's commitment to customer satisfaction is unwavering, and she has built a reputation for delivering exceptional results while maintaining positive relationships with clients. She possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills, allowing her to understand and address client needs effectively.

​

In addition to Kelly's military experience, she holds several certifications including, Project Management Professional and Certified Salesforce Administrator. This educational background, combined with her military service, has equipped Kelly with a unique skill set that encompasses discipline, attention to detail, and effective leadership.
